Practical Information - FAQ

The 12th World Congress on Targeting Mitochondria will be happening as an Interactive Online Congress. The meeting will also include special sesions dedicated to Live Discussion & Netwroking with all participants.

Modality of the Presentations:

As the congress will be held exclusively online, a platform will be used to share the presentations with all participants. All contributions accepted by the scientific committee will be added to the specific conference platform prior to the conference, as indicated in the session of the program.

  1. All speakers will record their presentations prior to the event;
  2. The speakers also have the possibility to present their talks live. In this case, the presenters should also record their presentation and send it to the organizing committee prior to the congress.

All contributions accepted by the Scientific Committee will be added to the specific conference platform prior to the conference, as indicated in the session of the program.

Due to restriction and time zone difference, a pre-recorded contribution can be separately viewed online from the date of the conference, October 28, 2021, via the use of access code. This will be valid for three months after the date of the congress.

Awards:

Like each year, 3 awards will be given: the Best Scientific Contribution, Best Short Oral Presentation and Best Poster Presentation. The best poster will be selected by the vote of all virtual attendees.

Questions, Contact, and Networking:

The conference platform allows each participant to contact speakers, attendees, and sponsors. If you wish to submit your questions to speakers, you can do it before the meeting.

To make the congress even more interesting and interactive, the organizing committee of Targeting Mitochondria 2021 decided to dedicate 2 zones of Interactive Discussion & Networking on each day of the congress, according to different time zones. These Interactive slots and sessions will be reserved for the questions and comments that the attendees have for the speakers.

 Frequently Asked Questions

 What is an Interactive Online Congress?

An Interactive Online Congress consists of including sessions that will be delivered with an enthusiastic environment: Live speakers and pre-recorded talks. You will feel as if you are physically there and you will be able to participate from the comfort of your home, without worrying about the sanitary issues an in-person congress can have.

There will be four interactive slots allocated for all discussions, exchanges of ideas and thoughts that can be done, linking each and avery speaker, presenter and attendee.

All attendees can contact and get in touch with all speakers and vice versa, short oral and poster presenters and vice versa. As a result, all the online audience can come together, participate in the Congress and get the same experience and content at the same time, from different locations.

In case you were unable to participate in any of the interactive slots, the event will be recorded, and will be available on-demand after the event (for three months after the event) so you may watch it at your convenience, and as many times as you like to refresh your memory or study a particular talk.

Like the case of our in-person conferences, these virtual meetings feature a keynote lecture, discussions by the chairmen and short talks and posters presentations showcasing cutting-edge, emerging, and unpublished research.
